In my freshmen year of high school, I was surprised to find no good Latin translator apps for the iPhone.
During Latin class, most students would use tedious websites on their phones to get translations—so I created Latin Words. I taught myself how to program, and within a few months, published Latin Words on the App Store.
Latin Words has over 70,000 downloads with over 6,000 monthly active users during the academic year. Latin Words brings the power of the William Whitaker’s Words database of Latin vocabulary, declensions, and conjugations to the iPhone.
This app accurately parses complex conjugations, declensions, and suffixes of Latin, and shows them in a user-friendly interface.
